Supporting Young People’s Sexual Wellbeing in Remote, Rural and Island Areas

Who is it for?  It is suitable for anyone working with young people in rural community settings, GP practices, third sector, youth workers, social care and educators who want to learn more about supporting young people’s sexual wellbeing.

Aim of Session:

Since 2022 young people from across Scotland’s islands have highlighted to Young Islanders Network (YIN) what is important to them in their island community.

The top two recurring issues have been Transport and Housing.

Teachers and pupils across Scotland are being invited to join a national journey of nature discovery, as an exciting new digital support for learning outdoors is announced.

Latra Scotland's annual ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills) celebrate the achievements of individuals, organisations and partnerships across the skills sector.

Rural communities play a key part in supporting local authorities in providing foster care placements so it is imperative that the public engage in this ask. 

People are being encouraged to share their views on plans for the future of foster care in Scotland via a Consultation that opens during Care Experience Week.

The Scottish Agritourism Conference 2024 will take place at Perth Concert Hall on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th November 2024.

Becoming the first Scottish education provider in almost two decades to be granted degree-awarding powers is a truly historic moment for SRUC.

SRUC’s degrees have previously been awarded through the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh but, from today (Monday 14 October), SRUC can award taught higher education qualifications, including degrees and taught Masters itself.
