Land Use and Agriculture Just Transition Community Workshop - Fort William

Please join us in a community workshop and help us shape and inform our approach to the Land Use and Agriculture Just Transition. This in-person event will be held on Thursday, 31st August at The lecture Theatre, West Highland College UHI, Carmichael Way, Fort William, PH33 6FF. The workshop aims to bring together community members who are passionate about or involved in our Land and or Agriculture as we seek to draw upon your lived experiences and knowledge as Scotland looks to transition to a more sustainable and equitable future.

Through these discussion, we will look to introduce the concept of Just Transition and how it relates to Land Use and Agriculture and its relevance to the local community and offer the opportunity to discuss and share your experiences on key themes such as the rural economy and jobs, communities and place, people and equity and the environment and climate adaptation as we seek to transition to a more environmentally friendly and socially just economy.

Whether you are a directly involved in Land Use and Agriculture, or simply a community member interested in making a positive impact, this workshop is for you. Come and connect, share ideas, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on building a more sustainable future.
