Are you involved with running a sports organisation in Scotland and looking for ways to diversify your revenue streams, build more business-like solutions and potentially attract social investment to deliver your ambitions? Then this workshop is for you.

Are you trying to get to grips with AECS, or wondering how managing your land differently could impact production?

This event will look at ‘win-win’ situations, where agri-environmental management can benefit both wildlife and production.

You will also spend time exploring some of the practicalities and challenges associated with applying for and managing land under an Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS).

Free of charge to farmers, crofters and land managers.

The Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust’s AGM and Annual Conference is being held on Friday 8 September 2017 at the British Legion Club in Inverness. This will be an exciting opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers about rural housing and related subjects, like community empowerment and land reform.

Highland and Islands Enterprise are hosting a Strengthening Communities National Conference at Aviemore Highland Resort on 21 and 22 September 2017 (lunchtime to lunchtime event). The event will be attended by Angela Constance MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities.

People from across the country can now apply to take part in Scottish Enterprise's Rural Leadership Programme.

This year Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) have joined forces with Scottish Enterprise to offer 15 places on the programme to people from Highlands and Islands businesses.

This is an opportunity to find out more about the new Scottish Land Commission, who they are and what they do.

They would also like to hear from you and what you think the priorities for land reform should be.
