Young Planners' Conference
Hilton Cambridge City Centre
The East of England Young Planners’ Committee is thrilled to be hosting this year’s Young Planners’ Conference 2024 in Cambridge on 11-12 October 2024.
This year's theme ‘Connecting Town and Country’ aims to explore this complex dynamic and intersection of balancing such growth versus resources, which will be addressed through our speaker panels, breakout sessions and study tours centring on the following:
Planning and the delivery of housing
Innovation, connectivity, and natural resources
Historic and natural environments
Transport and infrastructure requirements
Whilst the conference will focus on lessons learned from the Cambridge context, Young Planners can take away lessons for their relevant contexts, as the sessions covered will be topical for the wider UK and in some instances, internationally.
The conference is an event highlight in the RTPI’s calendar and aims to attract up to 200 planning professionals defined as Young Planners. The delegates are in the first ten years of their planning career and come from across the UK. The conference is always a positive and enriching experience for delegates and participants alike and significantly contributes to the career development of Young Planners.
