Join Scottish Forestry and Andy and Debbie Duffus as they introduce us to Mains of Auchriachan, their 1540 hectare tenanted hill farm in Tomintoul.

During this insightful visit, you'll hear about Andy and Debbie's beef and sheep farming business and how and why they have integrated woodland on their farm. You'll also hear about the future plans for riparian planting.

Join for an informative and open discussion about the Duffus's initial thought process around planting trees and how they made the decisions they did based on their business objectives. You'll have the opportunity to explore how trees can and have benefitted their farm business including through the provision of shelter, improved shelter and reduced feed costs. We'll also cover the wider benefits like habitat creation as well as a new income stream through timber production.

We will be joined by a Scottish Forestry speaker who can answer your questions on funding and the first steps to woodland creation as well as a speaker from Spey Catchment Initiative.
