Join the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, Propagate and National Farmers Union Scotland for a knowledge-sharing event looking at how farming can be good for both the environment and the farm business.

The event will be chaired by Dumfriesshire farmer and former NFUS President Andrew McCornick. He will be joined by speakers such as Nikki Yoxall (Pasture for Life), Stuart Johnson (Soil Farmer of the Year), Heather Close (Balsar Glen), Tim Barnes (Trostrie Farm), John Newbold (SRUC), Davy McCracken (SRUC) and others.

You can look forward to a morning of presentations and discussion looking at the economics and practice of farming for nature. We will have a speed round to hear what farmers are doing on their farms and longer sessions on improving soil health and building grassland diversity.

The conference will take place between 9:30 - 1:00, with time afterwards for socialising and networking.

Tea/coffee/biscuits/soup/sandwiches will be provided.
