Crofting for the Future

This course is suitable for both new entrant AND experienced crofters.

Find the answers to these and other questions at the Scottish Crofting Federation in-person, interactive two day training course!
Friday 28th February & Saturday 1st March 2025.
Day 1:- AM. Croft visit to the Woodland Crofter (Andy Robinson) Langamull, Dervaig.
PM. Dervaig Village Hall
Day 2:- Creich Hall with croft visit to the Lazy Cow Cafe & Farm Shop (Sandra Power), Kintra, to find out about the croft and related business.
Members:- £50; Non-members:- £80
This includes morning & afternoon refreshments and lunch.
The course will be co-designed with participants choosing modules from the following topics:
(i) Land Management; (ii) Animal Management; (iii) Horticulture/Silviculture/Agro-forestry; (iv) Economic Sustainability.

Scottish Crofting Federation are delivering this course in other locations throughout the crofting counties between now and the end of March 2025.
