This event is part of the Open Gate festival - the Open Gate festival is a collection of local events, from August 23 to September . Local growers and producers have the chance to show us where our food comes from, the events include workshops, speaker events and a community feast.

Join Perthshire Ranger team and partners from the 'Heart of Scotland Forest Partnership' for a day of footpath work at Dun Coillich Community Woodland, next to Schiehallion, where we will be helping to improve the walking trail network.

ORFC in the Field at Comrie Croft

In partnership with Comrie Croft, Tomnah’a Market Garden, and CoDeL this unique, hands-on event will explore how young people are finding a way back to the land and farming, re-introducing traditional skills, applying new agroecological knowledge and practices, and inspiring and encouraging more young people to do the same.

Rural Community Transport: A regional focus on Perth & Kinross

Rural Transport Futures will be hosting an event at Birnam Arts – along with the Community Transport Association – the national organisation for community transport, which supports communities across the country. This will bring people together with different experiences to discuss the challenges, opportunities and focus on solutions.

There, the Rural Transport Futures team will be able to share what they have heard from a series of engagement events across the region and explore where there may be potential for collaboration and where support may be most valued and effective.
