The Scottish Government is investing £234,333 to support Moray communities to respond to the climate and nature emergency through a new climate action hub.

This is part of a network of regional climate action hubs being set up to support communities across Scotland.

This in-person event will be held on Monday, 28th August, 2023 at Brodick Hall Brodick, Isle of Arran, KA27 8DL. The workshop aims to bring together community members who are passionate about or involved in our Land and or Agriculture as we seek to draw upon your lived experiences and knowledge as Scotland looks to transition to a more sustainable and equitable future.

The Vision for Sustainable Aquaculture, sets out the Scottish Government’s long-term aspirations for the finfish, shellfish and seaweed farming sectors, and the wider aquaculture supply chain. 

University of Glasgow’s SFC Upskilling Project facilitates three runs of skills-focussed, demand-led CPD courses annually, with the aim of supporting employees and employers across Scotland to upskill and reskill in response to present-day economic challenges. In particular, the project aims to address skills gaps, unemployment issues and other health and economic adversities following the COVID-19 pandemic and EU exit.

An extended boardwalk has opened at NatureScot’s Blawhorn National Nature Reserve (NNR), giving visitors even more opportunities to explore this fascinating natural area.

The 280m extension was funded by NatureScot and Drumduff Wind Farm, a joint venture by GreenPower and Thrive Renewables.
