Crofting
RSABI, the charity which supports people in Scottish agriculture, has this week welcomed Glenalmond College as the first-ever school member of its Supporters’ Scheme.
The Perthshire school with 360 boys and girls, both day pupils and boarders, welcomed RSABI vice-chairman David Leggat and Highland bull Donald to mark the occasion.
Six Farm Conservation Advisers, members of the Scottish Farming and Wildlife Advisers Group (ScotFWAG), have worked with over 60 Scottish farmers to create habitat benefiting many species of birds and bees. The farmers involved in the project stretch from Shetland and Orkney to The Borders.

Megginch Castle, once home to a community of apple-growing monks, will play host to weekly digital farmers’ market NeighbourFood.
The Outer Hebrides LEADER and EMFF (European Maritime and Fisheries Communities Fund) 2014-2020 Programmes have both supported nearly 60 unique projects thus far in the current programme. The Outer Hebrides LEADER and Fisheries Local Action Groups (LAG) manage both programmes, which aims to develop and support community-led local development in the Outer Hebrides.

Scottish Crofting Federation (SCF) are holding a free virtual gathering for Young Crofters, on Tuesday 18th August, 5 years on from a successful residential event held at Glencanisp Lodge, Lochinver.
Four sessions will cover a range of topics and offer a variety of formats. Participants can join for the whole day or individual sessions.
