A new service has launched today, Friday 9 February 2018, to provide farmers, foresters and crofters in Scotland with a collaborative way to explore their business ideas.
The Rural Innovation Support Service is part of the Scottish Rural Network and is being led by Soil Association Scotland.

Angus and Fife LEADER had the pleasure of hosting a study party from North-Harju, Estonia, to share ideas and inspiration for local rural development projects.
The Estonian party of 22 delegates was drawn from members of their LEADER LAG, which is involved with rural development at enterprise or community level. They were here for three days and had the opportunity to visit a range of our projects.

Lynn Haughton from the Scottish Rural Network Support Unit tells us about a recent Cooperation Cafe event in this report.
On 5 October 2017, Scottish Local Action Group (LAG) representatives attended a Cooperation Café held at the Gleddoch House Hotel, Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire to develop ideas of how to cooperate with each other.
The session was designed and facilitated by the Scottish Rural Network. The main aims were to:
