On 5 October 2017, Scottish Local Action Group (LAG) representatives attended a Cooperation Café held at the Gleddoch House Hotel, Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire to develop ideas of how to cooperate with each other.

Transnational LAG Cooperation conference 'Networking Works!'

The Lithuanian Rural Network, in cooperation with the Lithuanian LAG network and the Centre for LEADER Programme and Agricultural Training Methodology is organising a three-day networking event 'Networking works!' that aims to fuel the cooperation among Local Action Groups (LAGs), to inspire ideas for joint actions and support LAGs in search of relevant project partners.

The participants will also be introduced to a number of Lithuanian LAGs and their local projects in the countryside.

Dumfries & Galloway LEADER are delighted to confirm that they have awarded just over £740,000 to a number of diverse and innovative projects over the past six months.

LEADER information session at Royal Highland Show

Members from across the LEADER community are holding an information session during the Royal Highland Show.

Representation from across the 21 Local Action Groups as well as previous beneficiaries will be on hand to discuss how to access the substantial funding pot for rural Scotland. LEADER provides funding opportunities for farmers and a wide range of rural businesses.

An innovative tea growing project in Angus, Perth & Kinross and Fife has received a funding boost from the LEADER programmes in these areas.

The award of £49,550 has been made to Artisan Tea Gardens Ltd by the LEADER Local Action Groups in Angus, Fife and Perth & Kinross.

Artisan Tea Gardens Ltd is a collaborative partnership of nine tea growers, two in Angus, five in Perth & Kinross and two in Fife, who aim to grow 100 percent Scottish tea for lovers of traditionally-made produce.

The new Moray LEADER programme launched at the Morayvia Aerospace Centre recently.

Around 80 people from agencies, businesses and community groups attended the launch event on 26 May to find out more about the £3.5 million fund.
