Rural Community Transport: A regional focus on Perth & Kinross

Rural Transport Futures will be hosting an event at Birnam Arts – along with the Community Transport Association – the national organisation for community transport, which supports communities across the country. This will bring people together with different experiences to discuss the challenges, opportunities and focus on solutions.

There, the Rural Transport Futures team will be able to share what they have heard from a series of engagement events across the region and explore where there may be potential for collaboration and where support may be most valued and effective.

Cross Party Group on Islands - Focus on the National Islands Plan II

The Cross Party Group on Islands in the Scottish Parliament provides a forum for the discussion of issues relevant to Scotland’s islands and the residents of island communities, and it aims to improve links between the Scottish Parliament and island communities.

Cairngorms Trust Projects Celebration 2024

The Cairngorms Trust is hosting its second annual event to celebrate and share the stories of the variety of projects supported. By sharing their stories we’re looking to attract more donations to support more community-led projects this year.

Go Falkland

GO Falkland brings together vital voices and organisations in Regenerative Farming and Forestry at Falkland Estate, Falkland, Fife. It aims to generate awareness, engagement and agency in people and organisations across Regenerative Land Use in Scotland. Led by farmers and those who work the land, we are here to co-design and work together towards a healthier and fairer future in Scotland’s food and farming systems.

Grants to help support a wide range of environmental improvement projects have been given to communities across Scotland.  The money will enable local people to take a hands-on approach to improving their local environment by supporting a varied range of practical ideas. 

Run by arts charity Creative Lives, the Creative Lives Awards celebrate the remarkable impact local volunteer-led creative groups across the UK and Ireland have on their communities. 

The Marine Fund Scotland (MFS) is now open for applications for the 2024-25 financial year.  The deadline for applications to the first round of MFS for 2024-25 is 9 May 2024, and applicants are asked to ensure that they have their application and supporting documentation submitted by this date.
