Angus Rural Partnership (ARP) is seeking views from residents, communities, businesses and organisations across rural Angus to help inform its future.

Established in 2022, ARP aims to enhance the communities of Angus by supporting community-led development (CLLD) and rural resilience activities.  

Young people leading change in their local communities were celebrated at a special event in Stirling on Wednesday 5 March, as Forth Valley & Lomond Youth Local Action Group (YLAG) showcased the success of its Youth Impact Fund 2024.

Held at Made in Stirling, the event highlighted a series of inspiring projects tackling issues from mental health to environmental sustainability.

Land for Rural Housing: Supporting the Delivery of New Rural Homes

The Scottish Land Commission (SLC) has published a new report on Land for Rural Housing and the opportunity for public sector leadership. 

This session will explore the need to increase rural housing and the role of a supply of land in creating new homes.  Major opportunities for economic growth in rural Scotland require new homes to support that growth.  At the same time remote communities are suffering from depopulation and an ageing demographic.

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) will lead a review of three core elements of the Scottish Government’s existing funding and policy support for rural and island communities: Community Led Local Development (CLLD), Scottish Rural Action (SRA) and the Scottish Rural Network (SRN).  

Learning Exchange: Community Wealth Building in Tarbert and Gigha

Organised in Partnership between Social Enterprise Scotland and the Rural Social Enterprise Hub - we are please to offer this community learning exchange to Tarbert Harbour Authority (THA) and Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust (IGHT), two rural organisations with extensive experience in community wealth building.

Scotland's New National Islands Plan Online Consultation

The Scottish Government's Islands Team is inviting islanders, community groups and stakeholders to join the conversation on Scotland's new National Islands Plan, which will be published later this year.
