Three presentations followed by discussion, questions and networking
- Crowd-funding is gaining momentum as part of enterprise and community funding. Shelley Hague has led the development of Angus Council’s pioneering Crowd-funding portal.
- GROWBIZ is a successful, established peer-to-peer support organisation active in neighbouring rural Perthshire; their coordinator Jackie Brierton, is also chair of the LEADER Local Action Group for Rural Perth & Kinross.
- Grants from the Angus LEADER fund can support individual enterprises, collaborations of enterprises and the agencies/organisations supporting these enterprises. David Tollick leads the Angus LEADER team, to support the grant application process.
Priority invitations for the event have gone to the following, but anyone interested is welcome to attend
- The GoRural network, based around the Peel Farm (-diversification) demonstration farm
- The Food Life – an Angus collaborative of producers, processors and retailers
- 56DegreesCollaborative – a group of Angus artists and makers
- Enterprises and agencies already engaged with Angus LEADER
The outcomes for the event are
- to provide information on the three presented topics
- to raise awareness of, and between, existing collaboratives
- to identify further support needs for the attendees
