Policy Workshop: A Fair Energy Deal for Scottish Communities

With so much going on in the energy arena, including fuel poverty and price spikes, the renewables boom, GB Energy plans, and growing concern about pylons and battery storage, it’s time to call for a Fair Energy Deal for Communities, as a key pillar of a just transition and community wealth building.

The Scottish Community Coalition on Energy* are busy working in this area. Community Energy Scotland  have published several policy papers, met with Ministers, MPs and MSPs, and are developing a public affairs strategy to influence decisionmakers to deliver policy recommendations, to enable more communities to own their own energy assets or receive a fair share of community benefit funds.

Community Energy Scotland want to share our top policy asks with our members and the wider Scottish Community Alliance membership, to get feedback, suggestions and explore opportunities for collaboration.
