The Place Standard Tool (PST) & Community Safety
Date:
Thursday 20 June 2024 - 11:00 to 12:00
Venue:

Online

Organiser:
Scottish Community Safety Network

In March, Public Health Scotland (PHS) and the Scottish Community Safety Network (SCSN) co-hosted their first in-person, introduction workshop in Glasgow.

The session explained what the Place Standard Tool (PST) is – and why and how it was designed – and how it might be adapted, to better engage citizens and communities concerned with community safety.

The event was well attended by representatives from across the sector, and practitioners from across Scotland. Attendees heard presentations from PHS and SCSN, and participated in group discussions about how this new version of the PST could be developed.

In this next online session, PHS and SCSN invite you – whether you attended the first event or not – to hear summary learning from the March workshop, learn about the links between community safety and public health, revisit the genesis of the PST, and then consider how you might wish to be involved in the creation of this new, novel version of the PST.
