Peer Support in Scotland - National Network event
Online - ZoomÂ
Heidi, Trish and Ross, peer leaders from Moray, Fife and the Borders, would like to welcome you to connect and start to build a network we can all benefit from and enjoy.
Peer support is where a person with lived experience of, for example a health condition, offers support to another person with a similar condition. Some peer supporters are paid, while others do so on a formal volunteer basis, and others provide informal pro bono support.
Join us for our first national peer support networking event. Our aim is to create a Scotland wide peer community to promote the power of peer working and capture the interest and passion of anyone who wishes to create peer connections and increase our voice in Scotland and beyond.
In doing so we will model peer practice together: sharing ideas and resources and also supporting each other through challenges and struggles.
This first event will focus on connecting those who help make peer-support happen. Future events may be more suitable for those newer to peer-support.
