What is the role of the environmental professional in the management of emergent diseases of wildlife? This event aims to enable those working in the outdoors to better identify, understand and respond to plant and animal pathogens.

The day will include a mix of presentations and discussion sessions and will focus on the practical aspects of disease management: symptom recognition, disease surveillance, biosecurity, and implications for conservation management. There will be opportunities to discuss issues with plant and animal health professionals, increase knowledge, learn about resources, develop networks and clarify the actions required when these diseases are present.
