A new survey has been launched to find out from farmers, crofters and land managers what their preferences are for developing natural capital projects in group settings.

There are increased opportunities available to farmers and landowners to access nature markets, both individually and by coming together to deliver natural capital projects at the scale required to attract funding.

This 10-minute survey - enabled by a second round of Facility for Investment Ready Nature in Scotland (FIRNS) funding - asks farmers, landowners and those that support them with advice, expertise and services, about their preferences for developing natural capital projects in group settings.

This work is being delivered by the Soil Association in partnership with Finance Earth, Woodland Trust and Soil Association Certification Limited.

One of the key aims of the project is to find ways for small and medium size landowners managing Scotland farmed landscapes to participate in these types of projects, alongside maintaining food production and a viable farming model.

The work is funded by FIRNS, supported by NatureScot in collaboration with The Scottish Government and in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
