Tasgadh is a fund devolved from Creative Scotland, managed by Fèisean nan Gàidheal and open to organisations and individuals.

It is designed to provide support for traditional artists and organisations to create, perform, tour and showcase work. The fund can also support professional development and learning projects. Tasgadh cannot support the purchase of equipment, nor can the fund be used to match other Creative Scotland funds.

Fèisean nan Gàidheal, supports the development of community-based Gaelic arts tuition festivals throughout Scotland.  It was established in 1991 as the independent umbrella association of the Fèis movement and it is a membership organisation.

Applicants for the Tasgadh fund must be able to demonstrate a positive track record in and/or professional commitment to one or more of the traditional art forms of Scottish traditional dance, music and storytelling.

To help assist and inspire applicants, case studies of previously funded projects can be viewed and download. These case studies can help applicants better understand the fund objectives.

£36,500 is available in 2024-25. Although the fund is managed by Fèisean nan Gàidheal, grants will be agreed by a panel of advisers and projects will be monitored and evaluated by staff from both Fèisean nan Gàidheal and Creative Scotland.

You can find further information, details of case studies and an informative video at https://www.feisean.org/en/tasgadh/

The Next deadline is 31 January 2025 for applications.
