Support for community spaces to becoming environmentally friendly
The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub are inviting expressions of interest from its members to support community spaces transition to becoming environmentally friendly.
They are offering its members who operate community spaces, support to implement sustainable practices and be part of a network of organisations committed to creating climate conscious communities across the region.Â
The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub recognise that each organisation’s route to becoming a Sustainable Space will be unique, dictating different approaches, plans & implementations. To help address this, the Hub has complied a vast range of resources to equip community groups with a strong understanding of the avenues available to them.
Community groups can explore these options independently, or with support from their local Development Officer.
As a Sustainable Space community hubs will have the opportunity to engage with events and interactive workshops.
If you are interested in becoming a Sustainable Space, you can find more information and complete an expression of interest form at Becoming a Sustainable Space - there you can specify which support level you would like.
After submitting you will receive access to the resources, and if support is requested your local Development Officer will be in touch.
The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub is funded by the Scottish Government and has the purpose of supporting community-led climate action across the region. The Hub is part of a network of 24 Climate Action Hubs across Scotland which support communities to make a just transition towards net zero and support a climate ready Scotland.
