The South of Scotland Economic Partnership (SoSEP) is holding a series of 28 stakeholder events over the coming months.

SoSEP was set up by the Scottish Government on 1 December 2017 as a recommendation from the Enterprise and Skills Review. It brings together a range of partners to support economic growth in the south of Scotland and is preparing the ground for the establishment of a south of Scotland enterprise agency in April 2020.

SoSEP has allocated funding of over £8 million to local projects.

The events kick off in Dumfries on 13 May and finish in Hawick on 4 July. As well as general events there are also sector-specific events.

The events are a chance to find out about SoSEP's work plan, progress made to date, the projects supported with funding and how these are helping to address some of the issues raised in events held last year.

There will also be a chance to discuss the future of SoSEP including the role that the new south of Scotland enterprise agency can play.

You'll find a list of all the events on the Southern Uplands Partnership website where you can link through to Eventbrite to book your place on your chosen event.
