Scottish Charity Awards' finalists revealed
The finalists for this year's Scottish Charity Awards have been revealed.
The awards are organised by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and celebrate special people, organisations and projects in the third sector.
Thirty-eight finalists have now been announced for the eight award categories, with rural finalists including Hope Kitchen in Oban, Maggie Lawson from the Badenoch and Strathspey Community Transport Company and Dunaverty Hall Committee in Argyll.
Martin Sime, Chief Executive, SCVO, said:
"Year after year Scottish charities and voluntary organisations prove themselves to be beacons for creativity, tenacity and innovation. This year’s Scottish Charity Awards finalists demonstrate these qualities in abundance and are shining examples of how people can work together to make Scotland a better place."
All shortlisted charities and individuals are entered into the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Charities Aid Foundation. Voting opened on 12 May and will close on 26 May.
