LEADER in Dumfries & Galloway has recently secured £5.59m for investment into the communities across the region. LEADER is seeking a confident, out-going individual to support the local business sector in the development of projects which will ensure we maximise the benefit of this new tranche of funding for Dumfries & Galloway.
You will bring knowledge of the business and enterprise sector and a keen understanding of the economic context in which rural businesses currently operate. Experience of working closely with Business Support agencies e.g. Business Gateway would be an advantage. You must be educated to SVQ Level 3 or equivalent. This post is part-financed by the Scottish Government and the European Union – LEADER 2014-2020 programme.

Outer Hebrides LEADER Development Officer

- Balivanich Office, Benbecula
You will support and contribute to the successful delivery of the Outer Hebrides LEADER and European Maritime & Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Programme 2014-2020; network with communities and businesses to identify, investigate and assess innovative development projects coming forward for LEADER funding; support clients in LEADER grant-claim procedures; assist in maintaining the public profile of LEADER through acting as animateur to support the stimulation, planning and implementation of projects and community capacity-building.

Outer Hebrides LEADER Project Support Assistant
- £11,443-£12,219
- 22.2 hours per week

You will provide administrative support to the Outer Hebrides LEADER and European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Local Action Groups, the LEADER Co-ordinator and Development Officers, ensuring the effective delivery of the Outer Hebrides LEADER & EMFF Programme 2014-2020.
Duties include: establishing and maintaining robust administration and recording systems; working with complex spreadsheets and ledger systems to maintain and produce high quality financial and budgetary data; word processing, compiling and updating databases and spreadsheets; receipting, allocating and acknowledging correspondence; taking telephone calls, arranging meetings and travel bookings; updating OH LEADER website; supporting the development of marketing material and assisting with the delivery of events and networking opportunities throughout the islands; ensuring all LEADER grant claims are produced to required high standards and timescales; liaising with internal and external contacts.

Community Land Scotland - Development Manager
- Salary: £27,500 p.a

Community Land Scotland are recruiting a Development Manager to help them support Scotland’s community landowners and further the promotion of community land ownership throughout Scotland.
The main objectives of the role are to:
- Promote the awareness and benefits of community land ownership and proactively encouraging the take up of community land ownership
- Develop, facilitate and promote networks among a range of parties that can provide advice on community land ownership, including community groups
- Develop a range of promotional and support materials on aspects of community land ownership to support this emerging sector
- Assist the Community Land Scotland Board in maintaining good relationships with a range of partners and the media
