Project Co-ordinator & Policy and Partnerships Co-ordinator - Lantra

Lantra is the Sector Skills Council for the UK’s land-based, aquaculture and environmental conservation industries. Following a review of business requirements in Scotland, they are now seeking to recruit a Project Co-ordinator and a Policy and Partnerships Co-ordinator to join their team in Perth.

Project Co-ordinator

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Project Manager and the Lantra Scotland team in delivering the Scottish work plan. In this role you will support engagement with sector employers and stakeholders and the delivery of current project objectives, including presentations and events.

Policy and Partnerships Co-ordinator

Your primary responsibility will be to support the national director and Scotland team by co-ordinating Lantra’s policy and partnerships work, maintaining an overview of relevant skills policies, securing complementary income and managing related projects.

Project Manager - Room to Roam Green Travel Hub - Huntly and District Development Trust

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund Huntly and District Development Trust is seeking a Project Manager for their Room to Roam Green Travel Hub. The key task is to develop and promote the Huntly Car Club. The post is part-time (16 hours a week) and fixed term (until 31st March 2018). LEADER Development Officer - Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER

  • Four days a week (28 hours) and will run until December 2019
  • Salary: £27,150 - £29,745 (pro rata)

Forth Valley and Lomond (FVL) LEADER Local Action Group (LAG) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is not daunted by procedures and paperwork to join the LEADER team to support projects applying to LEADER. 

The LEADER Development Officer is one of two posts who provide the essential support to projects looking to apply for funding from FVL LEADER. They are looking for an individual with experience of working on projects as well as experience of community development, business innovation and rural development. Good communication and social media skills are essential.

Community Learning and Development Officer (LEADER) (Temp) - Mossblown Community Centre

  • Location: Mossblown Community Centre, 19 Annbank Road, Mossblown

This LEADER funded project is an exciting opportunity to deliver three distinct programmes within and across the villages of Annbank, Mossblown and Tarbolton in South Ayrshire. You will work with young people, parents and senior citizens to set up, support and sustain community led activity to better connect these communities to each other through the following programmes:

  • a bike share and a parent car sharing scheme
  • youth engagement activities leading to youth volunteering and a community based peer support programme
  • intergenerational work

Scottish Government, Marine Scotland - Ecologist

This post will play a key role in the research and advice provided by Marine Scotland Science to the Scottish Government. The post holder will assist in the development and application of models to assess the status of salmon stocks in Scotland and develop research programmes aimed at transferring models and information from data rich to data poor areas. Collaboration with a range of local management groups and academic organisations will be required and there will be a need to apply modern statistical analysis and programming approaches to complex data sets.

Scottish Government, Marine Scotland - Salmon Assessment Modeller

Marine Scotland currently seeking applications for a Salmon Assessment Modeller within Marine Scotland Science based in Pitlochry.

This post will be based Freshwater Fisheries Programme, which provides research and advice in support of Scottish Government policies in relation to freshwater and diadromous fish. The post holder will develop and operationalise juvenile assessment models, improving approaches for characterising habitat and modelling juvenile densities at national scales. The post holder will also be required design and develop strategic monitoring networks for freshwater fish, with a particular focus on juvenile sampling strategies in the first instance.
