Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Countryside Trust - Health Walk Coordinator
The Countryside Trust are seeking a new Health Walk Coordinator on a self-employed basis to join their Walk in the Park team for their highly successful programme of health walks. Utilising the beautiful landscape of the National Park, the programme of weekly walks provides a supportive and social environment for people to be physically active and improve their health, sense of wellbeing and confidence.
In the first instance, the Health Walk Coordinator’s activities are to be undertaken primarily in support of Walk in the Park activities within the communities of Aberfoyle, Callander, and Killin. In addition, the Co-ordinator will from time to time be required to support Park wide activities at other locations across the National Park area. Over time it is anticipated that the Coordinator's work will be expanded to reach new communities and individuals.
The role will be providing services on a self-employed basis for a maximum of 20 hours per week at an hourly rate of £11.00 per hour. The contract is offered for an initial six month period from the date of employment, with a view for extension onto a salaried position subject to annual project funding.

The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a positive, welcoming environment, and have a proactive and helpful attitude to all visitors and colleagues. You will provide a welcome to visitors, ensure they are safe and that the venue is presented to the highest standards. The duties are varied and the post-holder will be expected to assist in many aspects of running the service.

Camphill Wellbeing Trust - Head Gardener/Outdoor Areas Manager
Camphill Wellbeing Trust is a medical charity which provides extended approaches to address illness, support resilience and maintain wellbeing. A vacancy has arisen within the Compass Project team for an enthusiastic and capable Head Gardener / Outdoor Areas Manager to take on the development and coordination of their Compass project outdoor areas and related activities.
The role involves care for all aspects of the 4.1 acres outdoor site, including its mixed woodland. Gardening/ Horticultural/agricultural experience is required and experience of beekeeping is highly desirable. Ability to forward plan with regards to planting and land management is essential as is ability to operate a range of appropriate land management power tools.
Key responsibilities include:

Management of Compass outdoor areas in line with sustainability and organic / biodynamic principles

Liaising with Camphill organisations to facilitate meaningful outdoor activities for volunteers, patients and people with additional support needs

Managing health & safety of outdoor areas including repairs and maintenance

Managing outdoor areas budget

Supporting and educating volunteers, service users and local community in healthy food production on a small scale while maximising growing opportunities and production in gardening areas

Documentation of progress through photography and video
