Trees & Timber Apprenticeships x 6 - Forestry Commission (Forest Research)
The Forestry Commission is looking to take on 6 Trees & Timber Aprentices. The role is based in Newton Research Office, Newton Nursery, Elgin, Morayshire IV30 8XR. You will be attending lectures at Inverness College throughout the duration of the 18 month modern apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of skills working in forests and other land habitats whilst working towards a SCQF Modern Apprenticeship (MA) Level 5 qualification in Trees and Timber. The role involves manual work outdoors in all weathers in the forest environment.

Caledonian Climate are looking to bring Environmental Consultants into their team who are passionate about delivering peatland restoration projects across Scotland, to help tackle the global climate crisis and reverse biodiversity loss. You will work with landholders and businesses alike to design and implement landscape scale peat wetland restoration projects across Scotland. They are looking for people with competency using GIS software, applying for Peatland Action funding, and working with The Peatland Code. You should understand the Scottish landscape and be fluent at communicating and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment where you can drive positive change within food, farming and land use.
The successful applicant will support the Communications Manager and play a key role in daily communications and digital media, including social media and website. This role will directly lead the weekly delivery of NFFN’s member newsletter, so experience with MailChimp and graphic design tools, such as Adobe Express and Canva, is essential.

The successful candidate will be employed by CCT and will join a team of Trustees and Directors in helping to develop projects run by both Carsphairn Community Trust (CCT) and Carsphairn Community Woodland Ltd. (CCW).
Carsphairn Community Woodland Limited is committed to acquiring, developing and managing local woodlands in a sustainable and environmentally sound way for the long-term benefit of the local community.
The postholder will contribute towards the delivery of the Trust and Woodland’s strategies, Operational Plans and overall objectives by delivering a suite of projects, activities and events approved by the boards to meet budget and outcome targets.
