LEADER Assistant Project Officer - Orkney LEADER

This is an exciting opportunity to join the LEADER team to take forward the delivery of the 2014 to 2020 LEADER Programme and the community element of the Fisheries Fund (EMFF). LEADER is part of the Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP) and is a funding programme primarily aimed at promoting economic and community development within rural areas.

Land Review Officers - Scottish Government

The Scottish Government are currently seeking applications for Land Review Officers within the Rural Payments and Inspections Division based in various locations around Scotland.
Their Land Review Officers review land parcels (fields) to establish the boundaries and accurately capture details of internal features such as roads, ponds, and vegetative cover as part of a base lining exercise being undertaken to improve the quality of information held to underpin land based agricultural support. The role involves assessing information on the ground utilising mobile GPS equipment, updating of the relevant databases and informing claimants’ accordingly.

Job Type: 6 month fixed term
Salary: £8.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week on a split shift basis
As their first Greenhillock Guide, you will ensure Greenhillock Glamping guests are welcomed and have an enjoyable experience. You will lead their learning programme and expand it by developing new led and self-led guest activities. Student placements - Forestry Commission Scotland
FCS is inviting applications from students for a one-year work experience placement within their Forestry Commission Conservancies for the period of September 2017 to August 2018. They have five placement opportunities with them being equally divided across our conservancies. The placements are in the following locations;

The student will be an active member of a professional team delivering the objectives and work programmes of Conservancy offices.
The one-year work placement will give students hands-on experience of promoting, influencing and regulating private sector forestry operations and administering grant scheme contracts. Working both on-site and in the office, the student will develop a working knowledge of a wide range of woodland management and environmental issues in relation to the delivery of Scottish Government policies and the Scottish Forestry Strategy.
