Royal Highland Educational Trust - Project Coordinator, Ayrshire & Arran
RHET, the educational charity with the aim to bring farming and the working countryside to life for young people, are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual with a passion for the countryside to work from home on a self-employed basis. The post-holder will organise farm visits and classroom talks for school groups in the Ayrshire and Arran area, to help young people learn about the countryside, food, farming and their natural heritage.
The contract is for approximately 80 hours per month up to the end of November 2022 and is seasonally variable due to school demand.

Scotland's Finest Woods, the charity behind the prestigious annual 'Tree Oscars' awards are seeking three new trustees who can spare 2-4 days per year for a rewarding governance role. They are particularly keen to hear from people with experience in charity governance and/or some knowledge of agriculture including farm woodlands or timber, and/or fundraising or a combination of these.

Scottish Islands Federation - Marine Litter Network Development Officer, Scottish Islands (working from home with some travel), FT or job share
Recognising the issue of marine litter, a SIF Marine Litter Working Group (MLWG) has been set up to enable island groups to work together to share experience and expertise, pool resources, raise awareness of the unique situation in islands, and to look for solutions to the key challenges. A key part of this exciting new post will be working with the MLWG and grassroots groups to take forward its marine litter strategy. They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated officer(s), qualified in Ecology or other related discipline, with knowledge of marine/coastal conservation and environmental issues and effective communication, project management, organisational and time management skills all essential.
