NatureScot welcomes appointment of new chair

NatureScot has welcomed the Scottish Government announcement of the public appointment of Professor Colin Galbraith as the new chair of the NatureScot board.

NatureScot Chief Executive Francesca Osowska commented: “The appointment of Professor Colin Galbraith as NatureScot’s new Chair is wonderful news. Colin brings a wealth of experience and, with his passion and expertise for tackling the nature-climate emergency, I am looking forward to us having an even bigger impact on the recovery of Scotland’s natural environment.”

Professor Colin Galbraith added:  “I am delighted to have been appointed as the Chair of NatureScot and look forward to leading the organisation in the years ahead. This is a key time for nature across Scotland and the need to tackle the twin emergencies of nature loss and climate change has never been greater or more urgent.”
