Calling all women living or working on farms

The Scottish Government has commissioned research to build a picture of the role women play in agriculture across Scotland.
Research undertaken in other parts of the UK, Europe and beyond shows that women’s work on farms is under-reported and women are not well represented in agricultural organisations, but there has been no research in Scotland.
We invite women who live or work on farms to complete the survey. Focus groups and interviews will be also conducted with both women and men working in the agriculture sector, including those who do not live on farms.
Findings will help to inform the development of government policy interventions. All responses will be strictly confidential.

Women in Agriculture has drawn together a collective of organisations to support women across Rural Scotland to:
- Share experiences of land based industries and rural Scotland
- Seek advice, support and skills based learning
- Access networking and peer group support
This event is designed to inspire women in farming, forestry and rural business & to recognise their collective contribution whilst signposting support/ development opportunities available from other agencies. This spring the second event will be hosted by RHASS and will offer guests the opportunity to take part in discussion groups on the following topics:

- Workshop 2 - Pathways to public appointments - Hosted by RHASS & Scottish Government
- Workshop 3 - Resilience & Resourcefulness - hosted by SAOS & RSABI

This event from YMCA Scotland - Young Women's Movement will be hosted by David Bryan, Hub Manager at Social Enterprise Manager, H&I and supported by Youth Highland.
They are interested in hearing your positive ideas for supporting the leadership of young women in Scotland in the drive for gender equality.
In their presentation-consultation session, they'd like to share findings of their recent research into the status of young women in Scotland, raise questions and hear your ideas about what they can do to strengthen gender equality over the next twenty years.
