The Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) has announce the launch of an ambitious fundraising campaign aimed at raising £1 million for a new state-of-the-art building at the Royal Highland Centre.

This new facility will replace the existing structure which is in a poor state of repair and will be a cornerstone for SAYFC activities during the Royal Highland Show and serve various purposes for the youth membership organisation throughout the year. When not in use by SAYFC, the building will be marketed as an events space, generating additional revenue for the SAYFC.

SAYFC  are looking for your support to help us achieve this goal and ‘Build a Home’ for Young Farmers for generations to come.

Supporters can contribute to the SAYFC fundraising campaign at the link below or by contacting Chief Executive Penny Montgomerie directly. To support fund raising, SAYFC clubs across the country will be participating in various fundraising events, and corporate giving options are available for businesses wishing to support the initiative.

Ally Brunton, SAYFC National Chair said:

“This is an ambitious project however it needs to be undertaken and we are excited by what the new building will provide our members. By working in partnership with RHASS, we can ensure the building will be used throughout the year bringing in much-needed income for SAYFC. We are calling on the rural community, our existing supporters and SAYFC member clubs to get behind this fundraising campaign to bring this project to fruition.”

SAYFC is Scotland’s largest rural youth organisation providing a social network full of opportunities from competitions and events to training and travel. With over 3,500 members, they provide a social network full of opportunities to meet new people, share new experiences and grow your skills across the arts, rural and agri, personal development and sport.

Divided into the regions of Scotland – West, East and North – SAYFC’s strength is its local network which is made up of 72 of clubs.  This means that no matter where you live, there will be a club within easy travelling distance.
