The historic setting of New Lanark will host its very own Book Festival from Thursday 1st – Sunday 4th October 2015, with a host of well-known Scottish authors, such as Alistair Moffat, James Robertson and Christopher Brookmyre, speaking at the four-day event.

Early bird passes offering 30% off tickets are on offer until 20 September.

There will be a rich programme of sessions on offer designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of literary tastes, the themes of which all have a link to New Lanark in some way. From Scottish Fiction and History, to Whisky, Food and Drink – there will be a session for everyone to enjoy!

Events include:

  • Christopher Brookmyre: 'Dead Girl Walking' (Scottish crime writer on the return of Jack Parlabane)
  • Mandy Haggith: 'Into the Forest and out to Sea' (Scottish poet/Environmentalist on her nature novels & poetry)
  • Catherine Brown: 'Making better of our Good - Scotland's Changing Food Culture' (Tasting session with Scottish Food writer)
