In Focus: Membership & Friends + Sustainability Workshop (Aberdeen)
Aberdeen Science Centre
179 Constitution Street
Aberdeen, AB24 5TU United Kingdom
A fantastic opportunity to experience two of the Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage sessions in one day!
This training session includes both the In focus: Membership & Friends session and the Sustainability session with a networking lunch in between.
Membership & Friends:
This interactive session will explore what organisations can gain from Membership and Supporter/Friends programmes. Whether you have a scheme in place already, are thinking of starting a scheme or wish to revive a faltering programme there will be practical tips and exercises to support you to grow this key potential source of unrestricted funds to support your work.
We will also look at potential pitfalls and problems and get practical advice from an organisation that has successfully grown and developed their membership so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Participants are encouraged to bring their plans, ideas and questions to share.
Training will be delivered by Consultant and RSH training designer Pam Judson, co-trainer will be Ea O’Neill from greenspace scotland.
Sustainability Workshop:
This participatory two-hour workshop will examine the issues around creating sustainable programmes and sustainable fundraising plan to support your organisation in the longer term.
After the workshops participants will:
Have a clearer idea of what sustainability means for their organisation and their beneficiaries
Understand the Scottish funding landscape and what potential funding and support are available.
Have a better understanding of what sources are sustainable for their work
For these dual courses RSH are happy for an organisation to buy a ticket and a different member attend the morning / afternoon sessions individually. If this is appropriate for your organisation please email Ailsa – ailsa.macfarlane@scotheritage.org
