Join the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, Propagate and National Farmers Union Scotland for a knowledge-sharing event looking at how farming can be good for both the environment and the farm business.

The event will be chaired by Dumfriesshire farmer and former NFUS President Andrew McCornick. We will be joined by speakers such as Cora Cooper (Tardoes Farm, Sheep Farmer of the Year 2023), Nic Renison (Renison’s Farm), Denise Walton (Nature Friendly Farming Network), Colin Russell (Ramstane Farm) and others.

You can look forward to a day of presentations and discussion looking at the economics and practice of farming for nature. We will have a speed round to hear what farmers are doing on their farms, and longer conversation about how to make a living farming in a way that’s good for the environment, and break-out sessions on improving soil carbon and biodiversity.

The conference will take place between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, with time afterwards for socialising and networking.

Tea/coffee/biscuits/sandwiches will be provided.
