Enhancing Innovation in Rural Areas - The Experience from Scotland

Date:
Thursday 7 June 2018 - 10:00 to 13:30
Venue:

Scotland House, Brussels, Belgium

Organiser:
Scottish Government

The Scottish Government earlier this year launched the Rural Innovation Support Service to improve and further develop innovation across the rural economy in Scotland.

Following on from the 11th OECD Rural Development Conference in Edinburgh in April, Scotland House would like to invite you to a morning workshop on ‘Enhancing Innovation in Rural Areas’ in Brussels on 7 June 2018.

The workshop will bring together policy makers with those involved in practical implementation of rural innovation projects. Speakers will include research institutes, project participants and innovators from rural areas. The focus will be on examining the Scottish perspective on Rural Innovation developed over many years, and looking forward with the recent launch of the Rural Innovation Support Service (RISS) – a Scottish Rural Development Programme initiative.

The workshop is targeted at those with an interest in rural development, innovation and agriculture and innovation policy more generally. The workshop will be followed by a networking lunch.

To register your attendance please RSVP by Monday 4 June to BrusselsEvents@gov.scot.
