Dornoch Hogmanay celebrations

Say farewell to 2015 and welcome in 2016 in style with Dornoch's Hogmanay celebrations! There are events throughout the day and night from 31 December until 2 January.

Thursday 31 December

Candle Making workshop, A 'moment's calm' in the Cathedral, five-course dinner with champagne and canapés at the Castle hotel, two amazing ceilidhs to choose from and of course, the main event, the Hogmanay Street Party!

Friday 1 January
Start the new year with a 'First Footing' breakfast at the Eagle Hotel, head down to the beach to watch the 'Dornoch Loony Dook', then blow away the cobwebs with a guided family walk before settling down to watch a film at the Social Club. Finish your day with a gourmet buffet at the Dornoch Castle Hotel.

Saturday 2 January
Today we launch the 400 years old Golf celebrations with the Captain's drive in followed by the 'East of the Burn vs West of the burn' golf competition. There is a treasure hunt with a chance to win a £50 voucher to spend in the Jail, a Real Ale tasting, a guided whisky tasting and an evening of traditional music at the Cathedral.
