The Community Empowerment Act - How do we harness the opportunity?

The Highland Third Sector Interface have been touring the Highlands with the Community Empowerment Roadshows and on the 25 September will be an opportunity to explore the CEA in more detail and in partnership with public and support agencies.

The day will start at 10am with tea, coffee and registration for a 10.30am start. After opening remarks participants will consider the new Commuity Empowerment Act (CEA) in more detail before facilitated table discussions. A further dedicated session in the afternoon will look specifically at 'Participation Requests' before an opportunity for structured speed networking with public and support agencies, including Highland Council, Fire and Rescue Service, Community Ownership Support Service and the Scottish Community Development Centre.

This event is aimed at third sector and community organisations who want to find out more about the CEA and who would appreciate the opportunity to explore the implicaitons of the pending Act with their peers and the Community Planning Partners.
