Farm retail with a focus on building staff teams - Monitor farm programme

 

Scotland's Agritourism Monitor Farm programme supports agritourism, rural tourism and food and drink businesses to invest and grow, driving benefit to the rural economy and beyond.

Support is being made available for third sector groups and community organisations through the Scottish Government funded Accelerate programme.

Delivered by Community Enterprise, Accelerate is a fully funded programme providing mentoring and guidance to help third sector groups and community organisations become more financially sustainable.  It offers an average of six days’ free support tailored to suit the needs of the organisations.

Walk & Talk at Scalpsie Farm, Bute

Farmstrong are holding a Farm Walk & Talk this coming Wednesday, June 12th,  thanks to Ian Dickson who runs Scalpsie Farm on Bute.

Starting with lunch at the Kingarth Hotel at noon, the farm tour will follow, and finish up with a talk from Michael Blanche.

An optional extra, is to bring your togs and a towel for a touch of wild swimming at Scalpsie Beach!

The Scottish Rural Leadership Programme for 2024-25 has been launched with the theme of ‘Transforming Scotland's Rural Economy’.

The Programme is led by Scottish Enterprise, in partnership with Highland and Islands Enterprise and the South of Scotland Enterprise and will be delivered by Elevator.

The offer applies to farmers in the central belt from Ayrshire, Inverclyde, Dunbartonshire right across from the west to Fife and the Lothians in the east.
