Agriculture Bill Consultation - Ayrshire

The aim of this event is to gather initial views on the Scottish Government’s proposals outlined in the consultation, “Delivering our Vision for Scottish Agriculture, Proposals for a new Agriculture Bill”.

Flooding is a major environmental hazard facing many parts of Scotland. With a changing climate bringing more extreme weather patterns, mixed with further urban development, there is an increased risk of flooding.

The next in a series of consultation workshops to support development of a new Scottish Agriculture Bill takes place in Oban on the 1 November and the Scottish Rural Network team will be there to support policy colleagues on the night.  

New proposals published for consultation this week will form a new Wildlife Management (Grouse Moor) Bill, which aims to ensure that grouse moors are managed in a sustainable way.

The consultation will seek views on a wide range of topics related to wildlife including:
