Planning to Progress: How to develop a fundraising strategy (Dundee)

This one-day course will provide you with an understanding of the significance and usefulness of a fundraising strategy and will provide you with the tools to construct an effective plan for your organisation.You will learn the principles of a fundraising model for heritage organisations and will begin to construct a strategy for your own organisation.

Make it Happen: Introduction to Fundraising from Private Sources (Edinburgh)

This one-day course will raise awareness of the various funding sources available to heritage organisations and projects. It will help you target the private sources of funding best suited to the work you want to do and outline the best practice methods of approach.

– The Seven Steps of fundraising
– Making the Ask
– How to say ‘Thank you’
– A look at resources, tools and techniques

Over 200 people recently attended events on the new Environmental Co-operation Action Fund in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

The Environmental Co-operation Action Fund is a new £10 million scheme which is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP).  The purpose of this new competitive fund is to encourage the development and delivery of landscape scale environmental projects by paying facilitators to initiate and enable co-ordinated environmental actions on multiple land holdings in a project area.

Cairngorms LEADER are holding a series of events in the new year so you can find out more about the fund and how to apply.

The 'What is LEADER and how to apply for funding' events are free to attend at aimed people looking for funding for projects that will benefit communities within the Cairngorms National Park area.

LEADER supports development in rural communities. It is about building networks, knowledge and skills within communities by encouraging people to work together on local and joint projects.
