Arts, Enterprise and Place in the Rural Creative Economy is a two-day conference hosted by Newcastle University in the School of Arts and Cultures.
This international conference brings together those researchers, practitioners and artists who study, govern, perform and/or make a living in the rural creative economy with a focus upon the issues surrounding artistic livelihoods, communities and enterprises in rural areas. It forms a part of his AHRC-funded Leadership Fellowship (Music in the Rural Creative Economy).
The full programme features speakers from across Europe and North America, as well as from the University of Highlands and Islands and other Scottish institutions. Keynote speaker is Dr Nancy Duxbury.
