The overarching aims of the RPK CLLD LAG are:

  1. Promoting a prosperous, inclusive & sustainable economy
  2. Creating a safe & sustainable place for future generations
  3. Advancing inclusion, equality & diversity

Community empowerment, partnership working, place-based (community-led) approach, integrated development and capacity building are achieved by tackling local, regional and national priorities.  The LAG goal is to advance these aims through the objectives outlined below:

Rural Futures Transport, Next Steps: is designed to serve the people and of Perth & Kinross in partnership with PKC’s Public Transport Unit, Community Transport Association, Tactran and Rural Communities throughout Perth & Kinross.
Community Action Plan (CAP) Programme: continue the development/implementation of the community action plan programme alongside Local Place Plans.

Sustainable Rural Community-Led Care Initiatives: focus remains on care in the community / care at home / befriender and will be paramount in supporting rural groups and organisations to build connections with their community residents and HSCP as well as other care givers and stakeholders to make positive changes within their communities.

Affordable Community-Led Housing Initiatives: as this is often highlighted as a top priority through the CAP process and CLLD want to support rural communities accessing funding for a housing needs assessment and beyond.
Community Hubs: employ local staff which will involve formal training and mentoring. Local entrepreneurs will have new resources and professionally equipped spaces enabling efficient business development as well as the opportunity to work collaboratively.

Open Challenge Fund: continue the positive outcomes of CLLD/LEADER Programmes by providing funding for SMEs, enterprise support, farm diversification and communities.
