North Aberdeenshire coastal landscape 

The Aberdeenshire LAG is a partnership of community, private and public organisations who have joined together to develop and deliver a Rural Community Led Vision (RCLV).  The LAG will manage, administer and deliver allocations of Scottish Government funding for the delivery of the RCLV.

The current role of the Aberdeenshire LAG is to:

  • Enable the delivery of the Aberdeenshire Rural Community Led Vision/Local Development Strategy;
  • Identify development needs and funding priorities for the Aberdeenshire LAG area within the framework of the Aberdeenshire Rural Community Led Vision/Local Development Strategy;
  • Appraise and approve/reject project applications;
  • Commission activities where appropriate;
  • Animate the Aberdeenshire LAG area, stimulating and enthusing the territory;
  • Hold regular meetings;
  • Network with other LAGs and stakeholders;
  • Disseminate good practice.
