A Culture Strategy for Scotland – Aberdeen’s Culture Conversation
The Lemon Tree, 5 West North Street, Aberdeen, AB24 5AT
The Scottish Government is developing a Culture Strategy for Scotland. They're holding events in different parts of the country to encourage anyone who has an interest in a strategy to engage with them and contribute to #scotlandscultureconversation. They want to hear your views and ideas about culture in Scotland, and the direction it should take, as well as the main challenges and issues you think the strategy should seek to address.
Aberdeen City Council is committed to supporting culture and the city is about to launch its own Culture Strategy later this year, developed through a partnership of cultural organisations across Aberdeen. The Council has an ambitious culture programme which is committed to challenging perceptions and celebrating cultural distinction through festivals, major capital redevelopments and increasing engagement opportunities towards greater inclusion and social cohesion.
The Lemon Tree has kindly offered a discounted ticket price of £5.50 to attend ‘Love Song for Lavender Menace’ which is on that evening in the Studio at The Lemon Tree, starting at 7pm and finishing at approx. 8.50pm. More info on the show can be found here. For tickets, delegates should quote “Conversation” to get the reduced price – tickets can be purchased in advance by phone 01224 641122 or online (enter “Conversation” as the promotion code), or at the box office in person on the day.
