The event will focus on showcasing a range of biomass crops and discussions on the agronomy, economics, and environmental impacts of different biomass crops. There will be a guided crop tour to view various biomass crops planted at the Biomass Connect Hub site, SRUC Boghall Farm, Edinburgh.

This workshop will explore how Angus Council's Economic Development team have used the potential of crowdfunding to enable community groups and businesses to raise capital for projects in Angus’ communities. Angus Council have commissioned a bespoke portal to showcase crowdfunding campaigns and support community groups and businesses to create campaigns that are as likely to achieve the funding target as possible.
A practical on-farm afternoon looking at benefits of managing farm woodlands, new plantings and business opportunities. The event will include discussion on woodland creation, riparian and shelter belt planting, how to manage existing woodland and opportunities for wood fuel production. Speakers from Woodland Trust Scotland, Forestry Commission Scotland and Jeremy Thompson, Forest Direct.
