Connections Conference 2016

Dumfries & Galloway Unlimited is delighted to announce that their annual conference will take place at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal in Dumfries on Wednesday 31 August 2016, and promises to be their biggest and best conference yet.

Starting with a Funders breakfast in the morning, and including opportunities for skills development in the afternoon, their Regional Conference is the place to be to make new connections and get connected with the arts community in Dumfries & Galloway.

Future Farming for Success Event

NFU Scotland are inviting young farmers to a free event which will focus on the future of young farmers in Dumfries and Galloway.

The event at Laggan Outdoor, Gatehouse of Fleet on 18 May will centre on the question: If the average age of a farmer in Dumfries and Galloway was 35, would things be different?

Gary Mitchell, Regional Chairman for Dumfries and Galloway will chair the event, which will explore the future of the younger farmer and next generation in the region whilst sharing opinions, ideas and ambitions. 

Rural Manifesto event - Canonbie

Take part in one of the Scottish Rural Parliament's Rural Manifesto 2016 events and fill in the blank pages together with all of rural Scotland!

The Manifesto will be a statement of collective ambitions and the actions that are needed to ensure these ambitions are realised for all of our rural communities.

Refreshments will be provided.

Take part in one of Scottish Rural Parliament and Southern Uplands Partnership Rural Manifesto 2016 events and fill in the blank pages together with all of rural Scotland!

The event will last two hours and refreshments will be provided.

This one-day course will raise awareness of the various funding sources available to heritage organisations and projects. It will help you target the private sources of funding best suited to the work you want to do and outline the best practice methods of approach.

Dumfries and Galloway LEADER funding roadshow - Stranraer

Dumfries and Galloway LEADER Programme is a European Rural Development programme that can support local community groups and organisations, small rural businesses and farm diversification projects based across the region.

This funding roadshow will be facilitated by a member of the D&G LEADER Team and will give an overview of the new 2014-2020 LEADER Programme which launched for Expressions of Interest in September 2014 and will soon open for full applications.
