First-time buyers and others on low to medium incomes are being encouraged to take advantage of the Open Market Shared Equity Scheme to help buy a home in 2023.

The scheme allows people to buy a home without having to fund its entire cost and is available across Scotland to these people who face particular barriers to the housing market:

SCOTO January Gathering

SCOTO is a network of community tourism enterprises located throughout Scotland and led by a team of dynamic individuals who each have extensive and varied experience in community tourism.

SCOTO Gathering - 'Spending A Penny'

Over 180 diverse projects across rural Scotland, will receive grants ranging from £100,000 to less than £500, from the Rural & Island Communities Ideas into Action (RICIA) fund.

The fund encourages and supports not-for-profit community groups with innovative approaches to community-led local development which include solutions to net zero and just transition goals, tackling rural poverty and supporting rural communities through the cost crisis.

Extending freedom of information: how will voluntary organisations be affected?

Freedom of Information (FoI) is under the spotlight in Scotland just now. This webinar will concentrate on calls to extend FoI legislation to cover publicly funded services delivered by voluntary sector organisations. It will help voluntary organisations to understand the proposals, provide a space to raise and discuss their views, and shape SCVO’s policy positions on extending the coverage of FoI.
