Improving the lives of people with dementia is at the heart of a new 10 year strategy.

The strategy, Everyone’s Story, outlines a vision for dementia policy over the next decade and identifies a number of priorities which would improve the lives of people living with dementia, their families and carers.

A programme to reduce the carbon footprint of NHS Scotland and enable more environmentally sustainable care has been launched.

The National Green Theatres Programme, developed by clinicians, will cut the high emissions and waste typically generated in surgery while maintaining the highest levels of patient safety and quality of care.

The Women in Agriculture (WIA) Scotland Group would like to invite you to their breakfast event in the President’s Pavilion at the Royal Highland Show on Thursday 22nd June 2023 from 8.30 to 10:20, where the theme is ‘Overcoming Adversity in Agriculture’.

Come along for breakfast, have the opportunity to network with others in the agricultural industry and learn about key relevant agricultural topics.

Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands Secretary Mairi Gougeon has announced a £1 million increase to the Scottish Land Fund -  a flagship scheme that helps communities take ownership of local land and buildings.

Ms Gougeon visited Granton Community Gardeners project, a previous recipient of support from the Fund.

Outdoor Dementia Resource Centre at Badaguish, near Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park are delighted to announce a series of opens days in the coming months.

An estimated 20,000 additional people will become eligible for additional help to buy healthy foods when income thresholds are removed for Best Start Foods payments.

The Scottish Government benefit provides help to pregnant women or their partners as well as families with children aged up to three years old, so they can buy healthy food, milk or baby formula.
